Did you two flip the circuit breaker off and then back on before buying new switches?

Now you know why my dream 3some would be me with Black & Decker!

Oh man!

You are so right...having someone handy to fix stuff is practically priceless. My dad was quite the handy guy...my ex, not so much. My youngest, though, takes after his grandpa...and what he can't fix himself, he usually "knows a guy"...

Hope it gets fixed soon!

U might want to check the GFI "Ground Fault Indicator" circuit for the kitchen and bathrooms! It may be in the bathroom, a wall plug with a RED button on it!!
It is required for any circuits that r near water, bathroom, kitchen..etc!
They were putting one in kitchen and each bath, but now, to save money, "CHEAP" they only use one, those GFI plugs r expensive!

Ouch. Sorry. I guess it's a day for stuff to break. While I'm a fair dab at electrical wiring, I can't say that I've ever actually done a 3-way. (Hmm ... read into that what you will.) So unfortunately all I could do is parrot Ye Olde Interwebs.

But now you have me thinking. This spring/summer as I open up my floorplan and rewire my house, I should really think about where adding some 3-way switches might be a smart thing to do...

Thinking about it though... Maybe 3-way switches are different than normal light switches, so you just bought the wrong kind? I don't know. But I could imagine that if one switch breaks, it might prevent the other from working.

In our throw away world, it's a good catch when you find a good handyman..
