The Endorphins Of Serenity A Poem

I knew it might come back to me
The rush of endorphins!
The creativity!
I forgot the mechanism
That flipped the switch.

You see it is like
That saying
It's elementary!
When I have a love interest
When someone has an interest in me
When love might be a possibility.
It comes back
And rushes in.
Like the woosh!
Of a tide
But then it subsides
To a lovely little lapping.
That is when I feel
My creativity is at its best.
When I can frolic
In the lessened angst
The near serene feeling
That the loving emotion brings.

It's been ages
Since love in my mind
Was followed up with actions
When someone could love me
In all seriousness.
I have had tons of infatuations
That produce endorphins
But the serenity is missing.

What an element!
This possibility notion.
When I became fixated
In the past
With someone who could
Not return my love
My love remained unrequited.
It was productive
But it had a melancholic tone
That could truly get old.
As it was uncomfortable.

To have a love that is returned
That will produce that endorphin rush
With that added element of comfort
Ah there I will experience
An endorphin with a special flavoring
An endorphin of serenity.
I should not give up my search
Finding and securing it
Gives me something
To look forward to

In fact it's so much like riding a bike.
Endorphins flood a brain on queue.
It's a feeling like being high as a kite.
