Alone . . .

he found himself
just living another day
filling this empty hole
inside of himself

living an unhappy life
filled with
an unwillingness
to accept life
an unwillingness
to compromise
with the world
around him
sad and unhappy
unwilling to change

he can only be friends
he can't commit himself
to any kind of
serious relationship
that would mean
he would actually
have to
except things

he can't accept
he is unwilling to accept

so he finds himself
just living another day
alone . . .
filling this empty hole
inside himself

it's like some kind of
magic elixir
that keeps him alive!
that he uses
to keep himself alive!
