11/7/18 - Multiple Flirts by Gold Members Without Messages?

There's the old Charlie Brown constant theme in the comic strip about Lucy holding the football and asking Charlie to give it a kick and Lucy ALWAYS pulling the ball back as he strides into it, with Charlie tumbling over on his head. Of course, there's a bit of a confidence game to this, as Charlie needs to be reassured each time that this time will be different.

Kind of like being teased by this phenomenon of having a Gold Member continually flirting with you without ever reaching out and explaining why they are interested. And if you drop them a note to ask why they ignore that too. Is there anything more annoying here than that? Maybe not showing for a date/dinner/drink or anything else that was agreed upon before? I read a comment on here about a woman who had arranged a threesome for her husband as a birthday gift only to find they not only did not show but never called or indicated they would not.

I know that there are men here who act like jerks at times to the women but as a man these multiple flirts are pretty jerky too. We all know why we are here and the degree to which so many of us have to jump through hoops to find that gold ring means we really shouldn't have to have our feelings played like that.

I'm reminded of the HBO movie Gotti, where Armand Assante played John Gotti, and when he serves prison time he has to face a situation where a friend of a friend was being targeted by the Black prison population for stealing. He approaches the leader of that faction and they settle on a payment to end the hostility. The important thing in that scene is when he tells the leader that serving hard time is for losers, that they both needed to not make anything too tough to handle.

That seems like a pretty good lesson here too. With all we go through here why make it unnecessarily tougher?

By the way, once again I am reminded about why cruising is such a great vacation . . . so relaxing . . . the just finished cruise on Adventure Of The Seas hit Labadee (an amazing beach - go to the Nellies Beach section), San Juan, St. Maarten (Philipsburg is still under hurricane recovery so help out and spend some money there) and St. Kitts. One of the best performances I've seen on my 12 cruises and still pretty good food, although a bit off from previous Royal trips).

A great way to get away.
