Free Advice: Get a Posing Guide App If you want to take good photos of yourself or others (and what t-girl doesn't like photographing themselves?) it's a great idea to get the modern version of an old standard: a posing guide for models. If you follow a few rules that have worked for literally thousands of years in painting, drawing, photography and sculpture, your pictures will become amazing.
Here's a simple Posing Guide Sheet for just legs. Look at how each position shows a slightly different mood. Some are decadent seduction, others are clearly indicating good times are happening, still others convey just a hint. That's all body language. It's telling you an instant of the story and your mind makes up all of the rest. Almost every single pro model knows these by heart, but you and I can benefit from reminders.
Never forget that your picture is telling a story, and you as the photographer are really the writer of that story. You're also the lead actor, so you can do both things. [align=right image 2 ]
