I'm probably a little different these days. I'm not at all shy about being very open about my battles with addiction. I know many say addiction is a choice. When it starts, it is. When it continues, it is not. It takes over your body, your mind and everything around you. It becomes more important than jobs. More important than loved ones and more important than living. We never stop caring about those other things, we just have to have the addiction in our life. In our minds, we need it to survive. We made that choice, so yes, it's a choice. But only a choice to start, not at all beyond that.

If I could say one thing about it, as tough as it is don't EVER be afraid to admit you need help. I don't know all of you, but in all likelihood, none of you got to where you are without help or guidance. It's never too late to ask for help. To admit you have a problem. There is always an ear that will listen. When it seems like, everything around you is dark, there is always light.

Who knows how much longer I will stay on this site or how much time I nor any of us have period. I do know this. I will spend the rest of my life doing everything I can to help those who helped me. Being grateful to what I was very ungrateful to. And doing everything I can to share my story so I can potentially save lives. Please be safe this holiday season. Hug your loved ones. I love each and every one of you.

The chatrooms on this site were once a lot of fun.We all got along, joked around, enjoyed things. Watched people cyber if they felt the need to or participated etc. No one cared about popularity. No one cared was getting more attention. None of that stuff mattered much.

Now, its the complete opposite. Everyone complaining about what others chat about. People hating each other and accusing others of things. People so obsessed with hating a person that they do anything to make others not like them or they cry foul and leave a room. All of us have different opinions and interests on this site. They should be respected, not criticized constantly.

So many good members have left the rooms. Some have even left the site. They are tired of the bs and drama. I have to ask, what has happened to the old times? The rooms used to be a lot of fun and were a good place to escape after a bad day. Now, they make the day even worse because of peoples constant complaining and obsession for attention and hatred. Maybe it's just me, but I don't think that is the case

To anyone reading this, I welcome suggestions on my end to improve it. I would really love to go into a chat room and enjoy it again. I would love for so many members to not escape because of the constant drama. Lets make things enjoyable again.

When you have some time to sit back and think and you're not able to do as much as you're used to doing, it can be extremely tough. It's strange that as much as you're sad, you also smile. It helps you never forget things. It allows you to take those things and love them more. Always make the most of your time here. It may not be here some day.

I always think about one of my favorite TV finale's when someone asked me to recap life. "Growing up happens in a heartbeat! One day you're in diapers, the next day you're gone, but the memories of childhood stay with you for the long haul. I remember a place, a town, a house like a lot of houses, a yard like a lot of other yards on a street like a lot of other streets. And the thing is, after all these , I still look back with wonder".

Don't ever take things for granted and be grateful for what you have and who you have in your life.

Enjoy the hot dogs and burgers, but don't forget about what we celebrate today. We get the chance to live in this great country and have the life we do because of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in honor of it's name. We're the land of the free because of the brave. Happy Memorial Day

Smile and say thank you a lot more often. Love every day like it's your last and don't forget those who helped you along the way. You never know what you have until it's gone.
