Well, it's time for a profile update. :D I just got out of a relationship that we both thought would go the distance (ie we would get married, settle down, etc). Unfortunately, things didn't work out that way. But, the good thing is now that the dust is settled, I can look back, learn, grow, and move forward. So, on the subject of moving forward... I'm most definitely not looking to jump into any kind of serious, committed relationship for a while. Now, it's happy happy fun time. Time to celebrate being single, and the positive aspects of the single/bachelor life. I am 44 years old, never married. I am a professional; I work hard, enjoy what I do most of the time, and sometimes daydream of other ways of supporting myself. I consider myself a lifelong learner and I typically have several subjects of interest I'm reading about. Body language, nonverbal communication, and NLP are a few examples. And, of course, the current events with our global/macro-economic issues and understanding investing. I do work out and staying physically healthy is important to me. Right now, biking is my main activity, but as the months get cooler, I'll move indoors and add weight training and those sorts of things to my list. Just to be clear, I'm not trying to be an Adonis; I just want to have good overall health. The days of trying to bench press 300 lbs are over for me. I've had a membership on here for a number of years, but other than a year or so window a while back, I haven't been too active. So now, since I've declared happy happy fun time for me, I'll be more active on the various social networking sites. And I'll even post some real pictures of me :D But nothing naked yet; I'm still a bit shy... you'll have to coax me along a little. A few interesting (and some bizarre) things about me: - favorite book is "Veronika Decides to Die" by Paulo Coelho. He's my favorite author, but his best known work is "The Alchemist" which is absolutely fantastic. The Veronika book, however, seems to speak to me more directly, so I give it the nod as my favorite - I started to take up Yoga, and I will continue eventually. But I did have some problems bending like a pretzel without grunting audibly in class. I'll probably be demoted to the "grunters" class. - Huge Kiss fan. I've never been so easily and willingly separated from my money than when Kiss comes to town - Secret ambition is to be a writer. Yes, it's true. Not at the same time, but they were both in a sling at the same time for a couple weeks. And no, I wasn't flipping someone the bird double-barrel style!
